Artist statement
Yonat Vaks is an artist whose career is defined by a deep and continuous investigation into the echoes of ancient narratives in our contemporary world.
Her work fuses the tangible weight of history—its myths, symbols, and cultural artifacts—with the often intangible but powerfully transformative currents of modern life.
Central to her practice is the exploration of potent symbolism, often manifested through animal metaphors and the reinterpretation of archetypal stories, to dissect and understand the human condition amid rapid technological and societal changes.
