15-17. The Four Modern Horsemen of the Apocolypse (1-3) - editions of 6


Steven Levy in his incredible book, ´Crypto, How the Code Rebels Beat the Government´, called the triggers used by the government to convince the public why backdoors are necessary - The Four Modern Horsemen of the Apocolypse. He reffers with this to the figures in the Christian faith that symbolize the punishments from God.

All 3 animations are painted on Steven Levy´s article from 1993 in The Wire - ´Crypto Rebels, converted into hex code.








18. We Must Raise an Alarm - edition of 10


Julian Assange is an editor, publisher, and activist who founded WikiLeaks in 2006. In 2012 he wrote the book ´Cypherpunks: Freedom and the Future of the Internet in discussion with Internet activists and cypherpunks Jacob Appelbaum, Andy Müller-Maguhn and Jérémie Zimmermann. Its primary topic is society's relationship with information security. In the book, the authors warn that the Internet has become a tool of the police state, and that the world is inadvertently heading toward a form of totalitarianism. They promote the use of cryptography to protect against state surveillance.

19. A Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace - edition of 10


John Perry Barlow was a poet, essayist, cyberlibertarian and political activist. He was also a lyricist for the Grateful Dead and a founding member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Freedom of the Press Foundation. In 1996, he gave a moving speech about the importance of freedom on the internet at Davos. The speech is converted to hex code with his portrait painted on it.




20. Make The Code Be With You - edition of 5


The Bitcoin White Paper in hex code paints one of the most known scenes of Sci-Fi cinema.

The crypto wars were often described as the cypherpunks fighting Darth Vader.

Which side are you on and is the code with you?



21. Who The Fuck is Alice?! - edition of 1


Alice and Bob were first introduced into cryptography papers in 1977 in the RSA paper. They represent the sides that use cryptography in the communication between them.

This series is about the importance of cryptography in the increasing surveillance world we live in. How much do we use the tools at our disposal to protect our data and freedom.


Alice is slowly disguised by ´The Cypherpunk Manifesto´ converted into binary code.
